Job Title: Regional Sales Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Regional Sales Manager to join our team at SRS Recruitment Solutions. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for raising our client's profile among key customers in the South West of England, including architects, consultants, and main contractors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers to ensure our client is their first choice for products.
  • Understand the specification process with major contractors, consultants, engineers, architects, and D&B contractors.
  • Raise our client's profile within their existing specification base and build new relationships.
  • Identify new specification and project opportunities.
  • Review and progress leads generated by NBS Source and the brand-specific websites.
  • Defend specifications and target/break competitors' specifications.
  • Deliver training and product presentations to contractors and CPD presentations to consultants, architects, contractors, and developers.
  • Take projects from inception to main contractor on-site stage, gaining specification for as many projects as possible.
  • Explore new markets for our client's products.
  • Promote and sell new product ranges.
  • Assist with new product development as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with the Area Sales Manager to hand over projects at an agreed stage.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in specification sales, with a strong knowledge of the building products supply chain.
  • Experience in selling drainage, civils, or water management products is considered an advantage.
  • Ability to problem-solve and offer technical assistance at the project design stage.
  • Knowledge of reading site drawings is essential.
  • Focus on the specifier, contractor, and project stage of the supply chain, with a knowledge of the merchant customer base an advantage.
  • Existing relationships with architects, engineers, main contractors, and developers are essential.
  • Previous experience managing a similar-sized geographical area is advantageous.
