Supporting Children with Special Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Grantham and surrounding areas in Lincolnshire. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Autism, Learning Difficulties, Challenging Behaviour, Dyslexia, ADHD, and SEMH in a primary school setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support pupils in the classroom, small groups, and one-to-one settings
  • Use positive reinforcement techniques and behaviour-based instruction to promote learning and development
  • Follow individualised support plans to help children achieve their full potential
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, marking, and delivery
Requirements:
  • Desirable: Relevant qualifications (Level 2 or 3 in Childhood Studies or TA course)
  • Relevant experience in the care sector, childminding, or voluntary work in an educational setting
  • Desirable: Extra SEN Training certificates (such as MAPA, Makaton, Team Teach)
  • A genuine interest in supporting children with extra needs
