Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced technician to join our team at Coventry University, School of Health and Care. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical instruction and training to students, as well as maintaining and updating equipment and facilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To design, develop, and deliver effective technical training programs for students in a clinical or simulation setting.
  • To ensure that all equipment and facilities are maintained in good working order and are compliant with relevant health and safety regulations.
  • To work closely with academic staff to develop and implement curriculum content related to technical skills and competencies.
  • To assess student competence in technical skills and provide feedback and guidance to support their development.
  • To contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning practices within the school.

Requirements:

  • A degree in a relevant field (e.g. Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, etc.) and/or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a technical instructional role, preferably in a healthcare or education setting.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver effective technical training programs and assessments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, academic staff, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and reports, and to meet deadlines.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position is £30,487 - £33,966 per annum, dependent upon experience. A discretionary range for candidates with exceptional experience can be discussed/considered.
