Product Assurance Manager

As a Product Assurance Manager at Spire Global, Inc., you will play a critical role in driving product quality to meet the necessary standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the Product Assurance processes and practices as the company develops in this area.
The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring the implementation of all Product Assurance tasks on institutional projects for the assigned perimeter. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring compliance to project requirements or documenting and justifying deviations.
- Developing and implementing the Product Assurance strategy and processes for Spire.
- Ensuring project activities are carried out in compliance with the Company Quality Management System, applicable standards, and regulations.
- Maintaining a strong interface with the Customer Quality representative for all relevant Product Assurance matters.
- Defining reliability, dependability, and safety analysis requirements from customer specifications.
- Collaborating with the Project Management team on Product Assurance matters.
- Establishing and maintaining the Project Product Assurance Plan in accordance with requirements.
- Managing Non-Conformities according to applicable requirements and processes.
- Coordinating the activities of the Project Quality team and ensuring the Product Assurance Plan is flowed down correctly.
- Preparing and verifying/approving Quality documents.
- Reporting Quality aspects to the Customer, PMO, and management.
- Controlling technology validations and hardware/component qualification.
- Participating in Project meetings and reviews, providing Quality contributions as necessary.
- Formalizing, capitalizing, and promoting lessons learned.
- Ensuring Risk Management processes are well-executed and providing proactive contributions.
- Maintaining continuous improvement processes.
Main Interfaces:
- Spire Program Manager and PMO team
- Spire
- Customer PA Manager and Project team
- QA representatives of suppliers and partners, as applicable
Required Experiences and Skills:
- 5 years' experience in the Space Domain
- 7 years in Quality (preferably as Project/Product PA)
- Knowledge of ECSS
- Fluency in English
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to effectively coordinate and delegate
- Proactivity and open-mindedness
Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position requires a minimum of three days per week in office.
Access to US export-controlled software and/or technology may be required.
