Job Title: Academic Teacher Specialist

**About the Role:**
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Secondary English Teacher to join our specialist provision in Nottingham. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for an individual who is ready to inspire and support young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and associated conditions.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching GCSE English at the secondary level and be able to adapt their teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each pupil. They will work collaboratively with teaching assistants to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Our school provides an inclusive and nurturing space for pupils with SEMH needs, including diagnoses such as Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Sensory Processing Disorder, and Attachment Needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality GCSE English lessons within the national curriculum framework.
- Adapt teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each pupil, promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Monitor and report on pupil progress, addressing any concerns and celebrating achievements.
- Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including extracurricular events and school trips.

**Requirements:**
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree-level education.
- Proven experience teaching GCSE English at the secondary level.
- Experience working with pupils with SEMH or additional needs in an educational setting.
- Commitment to continuous professional development.
- Willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check prior to starting work.
