Job Title: Academic Historian

Overview: Wayman Learning Trust is seeking an experienced and motivated History Teacher to join our reputable secondary school in Arnold. The successful candidate will be passionate about education and have a proven track record of delivering excellent teaching across KS4 and KS5.

Salary: Paid to scale on a permanent contract following the MPS/UPS pay scale within the National pay scale, approximately £40,000 - £60,000 per annum.

About the Role: We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who can plan and deliver exciting and engaging lessons that challenge and inspire secondary students to reach their full potential. Key responsibilities include:
  • Monitoring and assessing students' progress and keeping regular records of secondary students' academic performance.
  • Creatiing a positive learning environment that is both safe and conducive for learning.
  • Collaborating with school management, teaching staff, and parents to provide quality academic support for Secondary students.
  • Preparing and participating in school-related activities such as performances, events, and parent/teacher meetings.

Requirements:
  • QTS or equivalent.
  • Degree in a relative field (A Subject of Specialism).
  • A recognized qualification in teaching, preferably a Bachelor's degree in Education or any relevant field.
  • Excellent classroom management skills with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and students.
  • S sound knowledge of the national curriculum and its application in class.
  • Ability to adapt teaching styles to facilitate different learning styles.
  • A passion for teaching and making a difference in students' lives.
