Our Qualitative Research and Engagement centre is a hub for innovative research and engagement projects, and we are looking for a skilled individual to drive our deliberative engagement work forward.

About the Role

  • Contribute to the development of our team's strategy and direction, ensuring we stay at the forefront of deliberative engagement methods and their application in policy advisory, research, and evaluation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Lead the development of deliberative engagement proposals, working closely with a cross-functional team.
  • Direct medium to large-scale deliberative engagement studies, from design to findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with research and evaluation teams to deliver high-quality deliberative studies, including presenting and drafting accessible reporting outputs.
  • Develop and refine new engagement offers for clients, identifying opportunities to leverage technology and digital platforms.
  • Enhance the capacity of our team and clients in deliberative engagement, providing training, advice, and guidance to ensure a deep understanding of engagement methods.
  • Raise the profile of Ipsos' deliberative engagement work through impact projects, speaking engagements, and personal branding.
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to lead and grow business in a commercial setting.
  • Expertise in designing and leading projects using deliberative methods, including Sciencewise dialogues, citizens assemblies, and juries.
  • Strong influencing and networking skills, both internally and externally.
  • Ability to direct projects to time and budget.
  • Experience in leading deliberative engagement proposals.
  • Extensive experience in qualitative, deliberative, and dialogue methods.
  • Strong business development and impact skills.
  • Enthusiasm for business and team development.
  • Ability to develop and coach people.
  • Desirable: Public engagement experience across a wide range of policy areas.
