Job Title: Early Years Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic individual to provide targeted support to a young learner with additional needs in a primary school in Blackpool.

About the Role:
  • This challenging yet rewarding position involves working closely with a child in Reception who has suspected Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), helping them access their learning and develop socially.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work 1:1 with a child in Reception with suspected ASC, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.
  2. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to create a tailored learning plan for the child.
  3. Communicate effectively with parents and staff to ensure the pupil's progress and well-being.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with children with SEN, particularly ASC.
  • A patient and understanding approach to support.
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
