Job Title: Early Years Chef

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Early Years Chef to join our team at Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting healthy and nutritious meals for our children, while ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals for children, adhering to dietary requirements and food safety guidelines
  • Lead cookery club sessions with children, promoting healthy eating and nutrition
  • Work closely with the nursery team to ensure a positive and safe environment for children
  • Manage kitchen stock levels and maintain a clean and organized kitchen
  • Support with other nursery activities, such as BBQs and staff meetings
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen environment
  • Passion for nutrition and inspiring healthy eating
  • Food Safety CIEH L2 or above (or equivalent)
  • Sound knowledge of COSHH and managing dietary requirements
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure
