Payroll and Treasury Lead Opportunity

Direct Response Employment Services is proud to be supporting a client in Shaftesbury who is seeking a skilled Payroll and Treasury Lead to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full end-to-end payroll cycle for 150+ employees, including starter and leaver processes.
  • Oversee and process accurate and timely inputting and checking of all payroll data, including taxable benefits, absences, bank hours, overtime payments, shift payments, and holiday payments.
  • Manage and oversee auto enrolment and pension scheme administration, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Process HMRC declarations and ensure monthly and weekly reconciliation and submission of HMRC data and real-time reports.
  • Stay up-to-date with payroll rules and legislation changes to ensure the company remains compliant.
  • Ensure contractors providing services to the company are compliant with IR35 regulations and advise on best practice.
  • Manage all payments effectively, including fuel card payments and statutory payments such as maternity/paternity/SSP.
  • Process employee expenses in a timely manner.
  • Support manual calculations and use problem-solving skills to resolve payroll queries.
  • Produce regular payroll reports and manage payroll enquiries.
  • Manage and maintain petty cash.

We are seeking a candidate with previous payroll experience and knowledge of payroll laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will be organized, have good attention to detail, and a numerical mind. This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm, with a salary up to £30,000 plus additional company benefits.
