Job Title: EHCP/High Needs Coordinator

The EHCP/High Needs Coordinator plays a vital role in ensuring that students with Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) or High Needs receive appropriate support to thrive in their academic journey at Barton Peveril Sixth Form College.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating and managing the provision for young people with EHCPs and High Needs
  • Working closely with the Director of Student Support and other stakeholders to ensure seamless support
  • Developing and implementing strategies to support students with EHCPs and High Needs
  • Collaborating with teachers and other staff members to provide targeted support
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of support provided

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of EHCPs and High Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, and external agencies
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
