About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a VP-XR Design Consultant. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in educating and inspiring potential clients on the exciting possibilities offered by VP and XR solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend client brief meetings with account managers and/or solution architects to provide knowledge and ideas, and interpret/relay to internal teams.
  • Support the development or sales opportunities and kick off awarded projects to help smooth handover/transition of projects through the business.
  • Assist with prequalification of incoming sales opportunities related to system design department.
  • Support solution architects and technical design engineers in completion of hardware quote building, bill of materials, and ballpark costs for pre-sales client opportunities.
  • Document and communicate high-level system overview requirements to solution architects and technical design engineers to help in their creation of documentation, including system topologies/flow diagrams.
  • Participate in and provide design consultancy offerings to clients in the form of written proposals, presentations, and equipment specifications, and support system design teams in the same.
  • Attend consultancy workshop meetings (in-person/online) as required and present works.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology news and releases.
  • Assist/share knowledge with design department for specialist areas to aid development of team.
  • Identify, select, and present equipment at in-person/online demos, alongside account managers/solution architects.
  • Generally be a point-of-contact where required for technical support throughout the life of a project.
  • Attend team and inter-department meetings where required and work closely with account managers and head of system design.
Technical Skills
  • A clearly defined understanding of current VP & XR practices and workflows, manufacturers, and equipment usage, specification, and integration.
  • A good working knowledge of AV and IT systems, with experience with LED specifications and manufacturing methods/technologies.
  • A solid background in system design and equipment specification for broadcast & camera systems, as well as an understanding of project installation practices.
  • Ability to understand the technology and workflow for SDI/NDI/AV over IP systems and communicate these solutions both internally and to clients.
  • Ability to understand the technology and workflow for gallery/control room/desk control systems and communicate these solutions both internally and to clients.
  • Ability to understand the technology and workflow for video management/processing best practices (UnReal/Render Nodes) for mixed/virtual/augmented reality systems, and communicate these solutions both internally and to clients.
  • Proven IT skills, including use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Working knowledge of an internal email system and electronic diary is essential.
  • Previous experience of supporting and progressing project designs.
  • Previous experience in a technical AV role.
  • Financial acumen, budget consciousness, and sharp eye for numbers.
