Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 7 Senior Clinical Research Nurse to join our team on the Surgical Assessment Unit (SAU) at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our friendly and supportive team, promoting evidence-based clinical practice, and developing and implementing multi-disciplinary integrated care pathways for patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the delivery of care to ensure the individual needs of patients are met.
  • Promote the development, implementation, and review of standards, policies, procedures, and clinical guidelines.
  • Assist in effectively leading and motivating staff in the provision of care and future service development.
  • Promote evidence-based clinical practice in performance improvement within the unit.
  • Act as a resource in nursing practice throughout the specialties.
  • Develop and implement multi-disciplinary integrated care pathways for patients.
  • Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge and understanding of current issues and priorities that affect National, Trust, and Directorate-wide healthcare, to facilitate clear leadership and direction.

Person Specification:

  • Further training and experience to Masters level or equivalent.
  • Recent acute medical or surgical experience.
  • Awareness of up-to-date trust projects and issues.
