Job Title: Electrical Generator Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Generator Engineer to join our team at Pharos. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing maintenance, installation, diagnosis, repair, and testing services across a range of diesel generator sets, switchgear, control systems, and associated equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out diagnostic, testing, and remedial works on generators, switchgear, and associated equipment, and support planned maintenance where required.
  • Electrical fault finding and repair.
  • Generator upgrades, including control panels.
  • Provide call-out cover for generator breakdowns on a rota system.
  • Carry out client site visits and generate accurate and timely reports.
  • Project spares requirements for upcoming and planned works.
  • Support operational tasks, including reporting, quotations, progress reports, and customer enquiries.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the generator industry, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in standby power.
  • Proficient in the installation and operation of DSE/Comap.
  • Qualified electrical engineer, e.g., NVQ Level 3/HNC/HND in Electronic/Electrical.
  • Qualified to 18th Edition Electrical Regulations.
  • 2391/2 Inspect and Test.
  • Switchgear experience/qualification desirable.
  • Skilled in technical report writing with acute attention to detail.
  • Full UK driving licence.
