Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Project Controls Professional to join our team at Turner & Townsend Group. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining project controls processes, templates, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain project controls processes, templates, and tools to ensure accurate and timely project delivery.
  • Lead the evaluation of project time, cost, and quality targets, applying governance controls as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with a remote team of cost managers to establish a market-tested cost baseline and ensure client value for money.
  • Guide and influence the general contractor to ensure they are progressing in line with the schedule and within agreed cash flow parameters.
  • Act as the key point of contact for the client, resolving delivery and commercial issues, and preparing formal and ad-hoc reports on time, cost, and quality targets.
  • Create and/or work within a cost report, summarizing financials in an executive-level dashboard.
  • Understand change management principles and lead the agreed change management process and workflow, providing a platform for adding, tracking, monitoring, and approving change.
  • Coordinate and lead planning sessions and workshops with clients and vendors to compile the master project/programme schedule, agreeing baselines and a critical path.
  • Participate in project team risk evaluations, incorporating defined risks into Monte Carlo simulations to output quantitative impacts on the overall project cost and schedule.
  • Work closely with the project team to stay informed on project changes, incorporating and communicating these to the project team to allow for approvals in the change management process.
  • Hold vendors accountable for required schedule updates and reporting to maintain timely and accurate updates of the master schedule, ensuring schedules adhere to defined processes and quality expectations.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in project controls coordination across all phases of the project lifecycle, including program, risk, and reporting, with specialist sector experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in determining corrective actions or recommendations based on facts and figures, and critically evaluating information and data from various sources.
  • Advanced skills in MS Office and Primavera P6.
  • Able to demonstrate a commitment to providing excellent service.
  • Strong time management skills, quick thinking, and ability to meet project deadlines as necessary.
