Job Summary

As an Insurance Risk Manager at Barclays, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the bank's financial and operational stability by identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various business units and activities. We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in Corporate Insurance or Technical Insurance, as well as a deep understanding of Legal concepts.

About the Role

You will work closely with our team to develop strategic direction for risk management, manage the risk department, and maintain relationships with stakeholders. The salary for this role is estimated to be around £100,000 - £160,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  2. Lead a team of risk professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
  3. Maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including third-party service providers.
  4. Ensure compliance with Risk policy, standards, and frameworks.
  5. Work collaboratively with other areas of work to achieve business goals.

Requirements

  • Experience in Corporate Insurance or Technical Insurance.
  • Strong understanding of Legal concepts.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking skills.
