Senior Lecturer in Physician Associate Education
Job Summary:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Lecturer to lead the development, delivery, and evaluation of our Physician Associate Apprenticeship programme. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching and education, with a focus on Physician Associate studies.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and delivery of the Physician Associate Apprenticeship programme, ensuring alignment with the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education (IfATE) standard and the General Medical Council (GMC) generic and shared learning outcomes.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including academic staff, employers, and industry partners.
- Contribute to the development of curriculum and assessment materials, ensuring they are relevant, engaging, and meet the needs of learners.
- Monitor and evaluate programme performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation in teaching and learning.
- Relevant higher degree and recognised teaching qualification, or willingness to undertake on appointment.
- Experience in teaching Physician Associates and/or medical undergraduates, with a strong understanding of apprenticeships.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong planning and team management abilities, with a flexible and innovative approach to teaching and learning.
