About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant Trainee to join our team at Veolia. As a Management Accountant Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting the financial management of our business, working closely with our financial team to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including financial analysis and reporting
  • Manage audit queries in liaison with Group Auditors, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Conduct financial analysis of operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Post-investment financial review and analysis of long-term financial performance
  • Work with clients on contract performance and adapt systems to any changes in service
  • Ensure all contracts and depots within the remit are complying with Group financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with the Business Waste Manager on all financial aspects of the commercial business
  • Responsible for Business Partnering and producing quality budgets/forecasts
Requirements
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Excellent spreadsheet skills, with knowledge of Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel
