Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Management Accountant Trainee to join our team. As a Management Accountant Trainee, you will play a key role in supporting our finance team with various tasks and projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to identify and implement process improvements to reduce supplier aging and improve purchase orders, goods in transit, and other ad-hoc tasks.
    • Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable team to troubleshoot and understand internal processes to improve customer aging, customer returns, and other ad-hoc tasks.
  • Financial Support
    • Provide main support to the management accountant with internal and external audit, prepare ETB and statutory accounts.
  • Month-End Close Process
    • Assist the management accountant and financial controller with the month-end close process and prepare monthly management accounts.
    • Provide insightful explanations of material deviations from actuals, forecasts, budget, and historical trends.
  • Lease and VAT Management
    • Prepare and own monthly lease journals and lease reconciliations.
    • Manage VAT and HMRC reporting.
  • Project Delivery
    • Capable of managing multiple projects and multitasking.
    • Previous experience in a similar role, project management, and deliver process improvement.
  • Professional Development
    • Part qualified, studying towards ACA/ACCA/CIMA preferred but not essential.
    • Strong Excel skills and ability to analyze large volumes of data.
    • Power BI, Dynamic 365/AX, and Basware knowledge is a plus but not a must.
