About the Opportunity

We are seeking an exceptional candidate to join our team at The Earlham Institute as a PhD Studentship in Regenerative Cell Biology. This fully funded position will provide you with the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of bioinformatics and computational biology.

Your primary responsibility will be to develop comprehensive cell atlases of regeneration in three different species: zebrafish, mouse, and axolotl. You will work closely with our international, interdisciplinary consortium to integrate single cell transcriptomic and epigenetic data to assemble the atlases within each species and compare cell types and regulatory processes across species.

To succeed in this role, you should have a strong background in bioinformatics, computing, or related fields, with excellent programming skills and experience working with next-generation sequencing data. A Master's degree in Bioinformatics, Computing, Data Science, or Machine Learning is essential. If you are passionate about advancing our understanding of regenerative biology and have excellent communication skills, we encourage you to apply.

The successful candidate will be employed and registered for a PhD at the University of East Anglia. The salary on appointment is anticipated to be £54,888 (living allowance + mobility allowance), with family allowance applicable if eligible.
