Mobile Plant Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to join our team at a well-established construction plant and civil engineering company based in the South London/Surrey area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out on-site repairs, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and fault finding on plant equipment such as diggers, dumpers, excavators, and rollers.
  • Perform routine services on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Quickly and effectively diagnose faults on equipment to ensure minimal downtime.
  • Provide solutions to queries from customers on site and liaise with the parts department to ensure your van is fully stocked at all times.
  • Follow safety and housekeeping standards in your area of work both in our workshop and at customer sites.
  • Represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable way.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in positions such as Engineer, Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Workshop Plant Fitter, Service Fitter, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Heavy Plant Engineer, or Plant Mechanic. An NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent is not essential, but we welcome applications from engineers with time-served experience in this industry.
