Mobile Plant Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Plant Engineer to join our team at a well-established construction plant and civil engineering company based in the South London/Surrey area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out on-site repairs, scheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and fault finding on plant equipment such as diggers, dumpers, excavators, and rollers.
  • Perform routine services on plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Quickly diagnose faults on equipment and provide effective solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Liaise with customers on site to address their queries and concerns.
  • Work closely with the parts department to ensure your van is fully stocked with necessary parts and materials.
  • Adhere to safety and housekeeping standards in the workshop and at customer sites.
  • Represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience working in positions such as Engineer, Mechanic, Plant Fitter, Workshop Plant Fitter, Service Fitter, Service Engineer, Service Technician, Heavy Plant Engineer, or Plant Mechanic. An NVQ in Plant Maintenance or equivalent is not essential, but time-served experience in this industry is preferred.
