About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Manager to join our EMEA Accounting team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for various aspects of the controllership and accounting function in support of our EMEA operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Representing the UK Accounting Team: You will serve as the primary point of contact for the UK Accounting team, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with senior management.
  2. Leading Financial Discussions: You will lead and drive various meetings with senior management on key financial statement areas, providing expert insights and recommendations.
  3. Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual Closes: You will own the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for the EMEA operations, implementing and maintaining adequate mechanisms and forums for reviews, decision making, and escalations with finance partners and management.
  4. Process Standardization and Improvement: You will drive standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to obtain the highest integrity of financial reporting, including partnering with stakeholders for a successful end-to-end approach to reporting.
  5. Cross-Country Projects: You will deliver functional projects on a cross-country level, implementing best accounting and controllership practices to enhance and deepen the control environment.
  6. Alignment with Worldwide Accounting Organization: You will ensure that the EMEA Accounting activities are aligned across the Worldwide Accounting Organization.
  7. Accounting Terminology and Communication: You will influence and articulate accounting and finance terminology to the non-finance community, supporting internal and external audit processes.
Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with extensive relevant experience, holding a CPA, ACCA, ACA, or CIMA certification, and knowledge of various GAAP accounting rules, including US GAAP and IFRS.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience from a 'Big 4' accounting firm is a strong preference. Additionally, you should be computer literate in general, with knowledge of Oracle and experience with MS Office, Essbase, and Cognos. A track record of earning the trust of a leadership team by challenging norms, upgrading team performance, enabling growth, and improving efficiency is also desirable.
