Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Finance Director to join our client, a well-established National Charity, on a permanent basis. As a key member of the senior leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the charity's financial strategy and ensuring full compliance with legal, financial, and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive financial strategy that aligns with the charity's overall goals and objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial oversight, ensuring the charity operates within agreed financial parameters.
  • Act as Company Secretary, managing legal compliance and governance responsibilities.
  • Oversee the preparation of budgets, cash flow forecasts, and other financial reports.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including management accounts and annual financial statements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, donors, and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • Chartered Accountant (FCA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in a senior finance role, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Strong knowledge of strategic financial planning, including budget and cash flow preparation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results.
