Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Neonatal Staff Nurse to join our Same Day Emergency Care Department (SDEC) at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital King's Lynn NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our neonatal services.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide expert care to newborns and their families, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
  • Develop and implement effective care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to neonatal care, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and regulations.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination of care.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

Registered General Nurse (RGN) degree or diploma in nursing.Post-registration experience in neonatal care, with a strong focus on clinical leadership and patient care.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.Benefits and Support
