Job Overview

Maximus is seeking a skilled Paramedic to join our team as a Functional Assessor. In this role, you will use your clinical expertise to conduct assessments and produce reports that help determine a person's eligibility for benefits.

About the Role

As a Paramedic Functional Assessor, you will work with customers to understand how their disability or health condition affects their daily life. You will conduct assessments, gather information, and produce detailed reports that help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) make informed decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct telephone, video, or face-to-face assessments to gather information about a customer's condition
  • Produce high-quality reports that accurately reflect a customer's abilities and limitations
  • Develop and maintain your clinical knowledge and assessment skills through ongoing training and support

Requirements

  • Valid HCPC registration number
  • At least 1 year of post-registration experience in a clinical setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
