Shunter - Days Operations Specialist

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a skilled Shunter to join our team at Lineage Logistics. As a Shunter, you will play a critical role in supporting customer demand by moving trailers to and from dock doors, following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Move trailers to and from dock doors based on instructions from supervisors or the shipping office.
  • Check and set trailer and yard temperature, add fuel as needed.
  • Perform daily inspections on spotter truck and equipment.
  • Report defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damages to the vehicles and/or equipment.
  • Maintain logs of trailer movements and fuel.
  • Communicate with appropriate departments on daily movements of trailers.
  • Check trailer inventory and report any irregularities on log forms.
  • Perform sanitation duties on trailers as assigned.

**Requirements**

  • 6 months operating tractor trailers and/or heavy equipment experience.
  • Class CE driving license with a valid and in-date DigiTacho and CPC.
  • Ability to understand instructions and communicate clearly in English.
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 18 kg; weight may be more dependent upon facility.
  • Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends due to the shift pattern.
