Job Description:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and resilient SEN support worker to join our team at our special educational needs college in Central London. The successful candidate will provide general classroom support to learners with a range of needs and be flexible in their approach.

About the College:

  • All-through SEND support services for students aged 14+
  • Friendly, warm, and supportive staff
  • Ongoing training provided to enhance your skills
  • Modern facilities supporting inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support learners with special educational needs in a classroom setting
  • Utilize excellent communication skills, patience, and enthusiasm to cater to diverse student requirements
  • Offer personal care support to students who require assistance with daily tasks

Requirements:

  • Previous SEND experience is essential for this challenging yet rewarding role
  • Makaton and PECS experience is highly desirable but not required
  • Previous work as a support worker or care assistant is necessary

Estimated Salary: £29,000 - £39,000 per annum
