Overview

As a Senior Marine Engineer at Oil and Gas Job Search Ltd, every day will be out of the ordinary and require dynamic responsiveness to changes in technology, innovation, and client requirements.

You'll have the opportunity to get involved in surface & sub-surface vessel design, complex engineering design & analysis tasks, creation of new & innovative tools & processes, delivery of engineering consultancy services, and development of decarbonisation solutions & other emerging technologies across a wide range of global maritime programmes.

We offer successful candidates the opportunity to work in a hybrid arrangement, providing more options to balance their work and personal life while ensuring business needs are achieved.

Your primary place of work could be one of our three main UK office locations (Bristol, Derby or Preston), and occasional travel to client sites will be required, dependent upon project.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Marine / Mechanical Engineer with good problem-solving skills and a strong Marine background.
  • FMEA.
  • Not required to design subsystems (but integrate them).
  • Apply & continue to develop a breadth of engineering skills, in the discipline of Marine Engineering and where applicable.
  • Define & conduct engineering analyses, technical studies and research & development projects, making use of your knowledge and experience, to deliver high quality solutions to our customers and clients.
  • Provide mentoring support, guidance & leadership to aid with the development of our Marine Engineers to grow their technical & behavioural skills, knowledge & experience.
  • Assist with the maintenance and improvement in quality standards of engineering, design, and production information.
  • Interface directly with our customers and clients, representing our teams to discuss engineering solutions to complex problems.
  • Professional member of a relevant engineering institution (e.g.,).
  • Recognised as an Incorporated or Chartered Engineer by the UK Engineering Council (or an ability to achieve within 12 months).
  • A proven track record of delivering reliability, productivity & quality in a technical consultancy environment.
  • A passion to grow & support others through strong technical leadership, helping to identify new opportunities for technical & behavioural development and progression.
  • Experience of working in multi-company and engineering discipline teams with an ability to communicate effectively.
  • Experience in a technical consulting environment, leading and/or supporting multiple engineering projects & customers.
