About the Role

The Humber Teaching NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Strategic Mental Health Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Children's Division, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing mental health programs and interventions tailored to the unique needs of students and educational staff.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to a team of mental health practitioners within educational settings.
  • Coordinate and support the delivery of a range of Whole School Approach activities within education settings.
  • Develop and implement mental health programs and interventions tailored to the unique needs of students and educational staff.
  • Conduct assessments and provide individual and group therapy to students dealing with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, leadership teams and parents/carers to create a supportive and inclusive mental health framework.
  • Stay informed about current trends, research, and best practices in mental health and education.
  • Offer training and professional development to education staff
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • Detailed understanding of relevant policy, legislation, drivers, and their application to clinical/service/organisation Mental Capacity Act, Health & Safety, Infection Control.
  • Full understanding/application of relevant clinical practice/standards/audit within identified service area.
  • Basic IT skills.
  • Evidence of management, leadership, and organisational development issues that have had a positive impact on service delivery.
  • Member of specialist interest group or network, locally or nationally.
  • Experience of successful policy implementation and change.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum, depending on experience. This includes a generous pension scheme, flexible working hours, and access to a range of benefits including annual leave, sick leave, and family-friendly policies.
