We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to work at an Autism specialist support school in Blackburn.



About the role:



The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1:1 and small group support for children with Autism, helping them to build rapport with students and staff. This is an excellent opportunity for a Psychology Graduate or Support Worker with SEN experience or a Residential Support Worker looking to pursue a career within education.



The ideal candidate will have the ability to work with challenging behaviour and have a strong understanding of Autism. They will be expected to provide a high level of support to students, helping them to overcome their difficulties and achieve their full potential.



Contract/Position Details:


  • Location: Blackburn
  • Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
  • Start date: ASAP
  • Full time/part time: Full time
  • Hours: 8:30 - 15:30
  • Minimum rate of pay: £100 per day

Required Skills and Qualifications:


  • Previous experience working with Autism
  • Team Teach Qualification would be highly desirable
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year (desirable)


To be eligible for this role, you must hold a Right to Work in the UK, an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, and be willing to provide two professional references.
