The EMEA Cross-Product Platforms team at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation – SMBC Group is responsible for delivering technology solutions to meet SMBC internal and external obligations across EMEA locations.

Job Overview

We are seeking an IT Strategist - EMEA Cross-Product Platforms to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and implementing technology solutions to meet SMBC internal and external obligations across EMEA locations.

About the Role
  • You will lead the delivery of solutions in line with EMEA CIO strategy, vision, and target operating model aligned to EMEA Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, and Compliance strategy and according to IT Standards.
  • You will implement and execute an optimal application and data architecture, change delivery processes, service excellence, and operating model.
  • You will ensure the environment is secure, stable, and resilient and SMBC Group Companies and Branches meet internal and external regulatory obligations and compliance requirements through sustainable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Technology Solutions: You will design, build, and implement technology solutions to meet SMBC internal and external obligations across EMEA locations.
  • Lead Cross-Functional Teams: You will lead cross-functional teams to deliver solutions in line with EMEA CIO strategy, vision, and target operating model.
  • Manage Vendor Relationships: You will manage vendor relationships, selection, and procurement of new or additional vendor systems.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years' experience in a similar technology role.
  • Extensive relevant industry experience.
  • Driving Change - programme and project management skills to drive effective change delivery.
  • Leadership skills at an Enterprise level to motivate and inspire direct reports and the wider group.
Salary Information

The estimated salary for this role is £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, depending on experience.
