Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Analyst to join our Commercial Technology Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the management and strategic planning of software and hardware streams within Ocado Technology, providing valuable analysis and reporting to drive business decisions.
Responsibilities
- Financial Analysis and Modelling
Develop cost models and support their maintenance aligned with operational and business metrics.
Cloud Cost ForecastingOwn and develop the forecast model for cloud costs, providing accurate predictions and insights to inform business decisions.
Business PartneringSupport Ocado Technology in understanding the core drivers of cloud costs across all formats offered, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
Planning, Budgeting, and ForecastingDeliver the planning, budgeting, and forecasting process, including identification of risk and opportunities for areas of responsibility.
Management Information and AnalysisPrepare and develop management information, insight, and ad hoc analysis to support performance tracking, cost control, and decision making.
Capital Spend ApprovalSupport with and review of capital spend approval requests, ensuring appropriate process and preparing relevant models to inform decisions.
Process ImprovementIdentify, suggest improvements, and work across teams to implement improvements to business processes and financial controls, increasing efficiency and ensuring accurate cost recording.
Stakeholder CommunicationArticulate management information to a wider variety of stakeholders across both Ocado Technology and Finance, ensuring clear and effective communication.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in finance, with experience in reporting, period management, analysis, and commentary. You will also have experience in budgeting and forecasting, as well as strong business partnering and working in a matrix structure. Advanced Excel skills are essential, with Oracle being an added advantage.
