Job Description
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all elements of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and coordinating the handling of FOI requests to ensure compliance with the established national legal time frame.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate requested / provided information, which may be intricate or sensitive, utilising expertise to formulate suitable responses for release.
- Apply relevant exemptions under the Act and work in partnership with the FOI team to secure necessary approvals when required.
- Assist a dedicated team in coordinating the handling of FOI requests.

The Information Management Unit is a key department within Cumbria Constabulary, responsible for managing and maintaining the force's information assets.
