Senior Corporate Account Handler

We are seeking an experienced Senior Corporate Account Handler to join our team in the Birmingham Office.
In this role, you will be responsible for servicing accounts for our corporate clients within the renewals lifecycle process, including renewal administration, preparation of presentations to insurers, negotiating premiums with underwriters, processing adjustments, and preparing client reports and other documentation.
As a Senior Corporate Account Handler, you will be the architect of protection, safeguarding businesses and empowering their ambitions. You will be responsible for ensuring that client service standards meet the company's policies and comply with FCA regulatory rules and guidelines.
About You
We are looking for an individual with substantial experience as an Account Manager, ideally working with Mid-Corporate and Corporate clients in the manufacturing and construction sectors. You must exhibit a strong grasp of outstanding customer service, adept negotiation abilities, broking proficiency, and market insight. Additionally, you will be tasked with ensuring that client details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system in a timely fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Build long lasting relationships with clients, elevating yourself to a 'trusted advisor' status.
- Prepare top quality, accurate client documents, obtain renewal terms and seek to provide alternative quotations before producing a final presentation for Account Executives to discuss with clients.
- Handle any mid-term adjustments in a proactive and responsive manner.
- Ensure all client details are recorded accurately and entered onto the system in a timely fashion.
- Expertly handle queries about client policies; whether it's your client directly or their insurer.
- Confirm cover with relevant insurers, process policies and chase up outstanding documentation when required.
- Prepare debit notes and summaries of cover whilst ensuring the secure delivery of policy documentation from insurers. Check the documentation prior to sending to your clients with a keen eye for detail.
- Take care of account queries and credit control matters promptly highlighting any concerns to Account Executives/Directors.
- Align with key legal and regulatory policies; safeguarding you and the business.
Requirements
- Prior experience handling corporate clients would be an advantage however we would also be interested in experience handling larger commercial business.
- Knowledge within cross class risks such as Property, Casualty, Professional Indemnity, D&O, Motor Trade/Fleet is ideal.
- Holding/working towards one of the Chartered Insurance Institute Qualification: ACII / Dip CII / Cert CII
- Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent.
- Evidence of effectively prioritising work.
- Evidence of having worked to targets within a regulated, measurable framework and achieved SLA's.
- Due diligence in administration and policy checks/processes.
- Excellent client service focus.
- Able to identify potential risks/issues and seek advice/consultation when required.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent planning and analytical skills.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Acturis proficiency.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
