Companionship Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate Companionship Specialist to join our team at Volunteer Now. This rewarding role involves building meaningful relationships with older adults, helping them combat loneliness and isolation.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will be able to provide regular visits to patients/clients in their homes, engaging in conversations and activities to promote social interaction. Additionally, they will assist clients in planning outings to other venues and drive clients to social, leisure, and daily living activities as needed.
Key Responsibilities:- Regularly visit patients/clients for chats and companionship
- Assist clients in planning trips and outings using local transport where available
This is a flexible opportunity, allowing you to choose your availability based on your schedule.
Benefits and SalaryAs a valued member of our team, you can expect a competitive salary of £22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience. You will also have the satisfaction of making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Requirements and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, be empathetic and understanding, and be able to work independently. Relevant experience in elder care or a similar field is highly desirable.
