Job Title: Director of Sales and Marketing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Sales and Marketing to lead our sales and marketing efforts at The Fitzwilliam Hotel in Belfast. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales and marketing plans to drive revenue growth and enhance our hotel's brand presence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales and marketing strategies to achieve hotel revenue goals.
  • Lead and manage the sales team to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with key industry partners.
  • Analyse market trends and competitor activities to adjust strategies and stay ahead of market changes.
  • Oversee the creation and distribution of marketing materials, including digital and print advertising.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless guest experiences that align with our brand standards.
  • Prepare and manage the sales and marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Report on sales performance metrics and provide insights for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Experience in sales and marketing within the hospitality industry, with at least three years in a senior leadership role as DOSM.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Flexibility to travel as required for the role.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and marketing analytics tools.
  • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset and the ability to drive innovation.
  • Knowledge of the local and international travel and tourism industry.
  • Robust business acumen.
  • Previous luxury hotel experience or minimum 4-star deluxe background.
  • Understanding and delivery of impeccable customer service.
  • High level written and spoken communication skills.
  • Has previous experience of total revenue management.
  • Process led and ability to deliver strong training.
  • Managing people and working with teams.
