Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Consultant in Stroke Medicine to join our team at London North West Healthcare NHS Trust.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing high-quality medical care to patients with stroke and related conditions;
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans to improve patient outcomes;
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care;
  • Conducting research and audits to improve stroke care services;
  • Providing education and training to junior staff and students.

Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in medicine or equivalent qualification;
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications and experience in stroke medicine;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Strong leadership and management skills.

Desirable Criteria

It would be beneficial for the candidate to have:

  • At least three years of experience in managing administrative staff in the NHS;
  • Experience in conducting research and audits in stroke care services;
  • Knowledge of current stroke care guidelines and best practices.
