Job Title: Stroke Medicine Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Stroke Medicine Consultant to join our team at Great Western Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Consultant in Stroke Medicine, you will play a crucial role in improving our stroke pathways and SSNAP performance.

The successful candidate will work closely with our existing team of Consultants to contribute to the development of clinical policies and strategies. You will also be responsible for providing cover for Consultant colleagues' periods of leave and participating in clinical audit and continuing medical education.

As a member of our team, you will embody our STAR values and use the principles of the NHS Constitution for England to guide your decisions. You will also be expected to contribute to the leadership and development of Services under the direction of the Clinical Lead and Associate Medical Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out teaching, examination, and accreditation duties
  • Providing cover for Consultant colleagues' periods of leave
  • Participating in clinical audit and continuing medical education
  • Contributing to the leadership and development of Services

Requirements:

  • Fully Registered with the GMC
  • Clinical training/experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT
  • Expertise in all aspects of stroke medicine
