Senior Planner Job Description

We're seeking an experienced Senior Planner to join our team at Kier Group, working on hybrid from home, office, and across sites in the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, update, and manage the construction programme to support on-time delivery.
  • Work on large Civil Engineering and process enhancement schemes with project values ranging from £2m to £20m on wastewater works within the region.
  • Update the Detailed Design Programme (Pre-Construction Schedule) with designers to provide a robust and realistic schedule.
  • Review and develop the preferred construction sequence considering project-wide constraints.
  • Facilitate construction readiness planning, arrange collaborative planning sessions, and provide output.
  • Cost-load the schedule, generate Earned Value Analysis, and update the schedule monthly.
Requirements:
  • Proven background in a similar role, planning major civils projects in a water setting.
  • Experience working in the contracting environment with the ability to build programmes from scratch and report using P6.
  • Full driving licence.
