Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the position of Head of Finance - Corporate & Transformation at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will be responsible for leading the provision of financial business partnering within transformation & corporate services, ensuring compliance with statutory obligations, professional accounting standards, internal control, and the achievement of financial targets of the Trust.

Main Duties of the Job

You will play a key role in supporting the Associate Director of Finance and be a collaborative member of the finance senior team. The post holder will be responsible for leading their team to ensure the on-going financial viability of services and advising on corrective measures to maintain a strong financial risk rating.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the provision of financial business partnering within transformation & corporate services
  • Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, professional accounting standards, internal control, and the achievement of financial targets of the Trust
  • Support the Associate Director of Finance and be a collaborative member of the finance senior team
  • Lead their team to ensure the on-going financial viability of services and advising on corrective measures to maintain a strong financial risk rating
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • CCAB fully qualified (or equivalent experience) with significant post qualification experience
  • Working experience in a managerial role
  • Experience of working in a public sector at a senior role
