Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in the Bar Hill area of Cambridge. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Raise and receive purchase orders, resolving any discrepancies that may arise.
  • Communicate with our forwarding company in the UK to ensure a seamless transition of stock from overseas into our group warehouses.
  • Monitor and maintain a schedule to keep our warehouse teams informed about upcoming deliveries.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be required to:

  • Reconcile invoices periodically and communicate with our finance team to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Liaise with depots regarding stock adjustments and product quality feedback queries.
  • Update our supplier product and price database regularly to maintain accurate information for clients and customers.
  • Perform general administrative tasks, including sorting and filing documents, and conducting price matching exercises.
About the Role:

This is a temporary to permanent position, with the possibility of immediate interviews and a start date as soon as possible. We offer a competitive salary package, including a starting salary of £28,000 per year plus benefits.

The ideal candidate will possess a full UK driving license, willingness to learn, and excellent organizational skills. Automotive industry experience is desirable but not essential. The successful candidate will be punctual, professional, and proficient in Microsoft Office.
