Salary & Benefits:

This role offers a salary package of up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience, plus benefits including regular supervisions, company pension, and comprehensive training programme.

Job Description:

We seek an experienced and dedicated individual to assist our Registered Manager in leading and managing the day-to-day operations of our residential homes. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the home, ensuring consistency with national standards.
  • Improve the lives of residents through purposeful planning and implementation.
  • Build positive working relationships with families, friends, and external stakeholders.
  • Foster a culture of trust and respect within the home.
  • Control costs efficiently.
  • Manage staff fairly and professionally, minimizing turnover.
Performance Standards:
  • Develop high-quality care plans for each resident, adhering to pre-agreed timescales and standards.
  • Maintain adherence to legal requirements, Ofsted standards, and company policies.
  • Communicate feedback from residents, families, and other stakeholders to the Registered Manager.
  • Keep the Registered Manager informed of important issues and developments within the home.
  • Directly address deviations from behavior codes while maintaining a respectful approach.
Business Management & Improvement:
  • Collaborate with the Registered Manager in leading and managing the home's day-to-day operations.
  • Monitor expenditure budget and prevent unauthorized exceeding.
  • Ensure quality food standards are maintained.
  • Contribute to menu planning, cooking, and purchasing foodstuffs when necessary.
  • Organize and facilitate weekly staff meetings in an open, positive, and inclusive manner.
  • Engage staff in decision-making processes affecting their daily work.
  • Prepare for senior staff meetings before facilitating weekly staff meetings.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for long-term improvements of the home.
  • Report any problem areas or issues to the Registered Manager promptly.
  • Pursue continuous professional development through relevant training and workshops.
