Civils Site Manager

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Site Manager to oversee projects across the UK, with the first project based in Little Belvedere, Kent. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and civil engineering, with experience in managing site operations, ensuring quality, health and safety, and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:- Verify drawings and designs, identifying inconsistencies and reporting to the line manager
- Monitor and register materials and plant deliveries, ensuring compliance with quality and quantity standards
- Track and record attendance and timekeeping of subcontractors and operatives
- Develop and implement RAMS, Inspection Test Plans, and other site management documents, keeping clients informed of progress
- Liaise with clients, reporting on progress, quality, environmental, and health and safety matters, as well as interacting with professional staff and the public
- Attend internal and site meetings, maintaining a professional demeanor
- Read and interpret drawings, working to drawings, and conveying information to others
- Understand and work to programmes, producing short-term site-based programmes as needed
- Order materials, manage inventory, and maintain records
- Supervise subcontract trades and general labor, ensuring high-quality work, health and safety, and compliance with orders
- Organize and lead subcontractor meetings, pre-start and progress meetings
- Conduct formal safety inspections, ensuring construction and site safety standards are met
- Prepare site reports, inspections, and test plans, keeping them up to date
- Maintain quality control procedures
- Utilize and maintain company systems, procedures, forms, and templates, as well as policies
- Motivate yourself and your workforce
- Problem-solve and assist with internal and external audits
- Inform the line manager and commercial team of changes, delays, or requests for additional work or variances
- Complete site health and safety, quality, and environmental inspections, as well as job-related paperwork
- SMSTS certification
- CSCS Managers card
- First aid training
- Full UK driving license and own transport
