Civils Site Manager

Madisons Recruitment is seeking a skilled Site Manager to oversee projects across the UK, with the first project based in Little Belvedere, Kent. The ideal candidate will be willing to travel nationwide for this role.
Our client is a successful Construction and Civil Engineering contractor specializing in Steelwork, Cladding, Groundworks, Steel Frame & RC Frame. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
Key Responsibilities:- Reviewing drawings and designs, identifying inconsistencies, and reporting to the line manager
- Verifying and registering materials and plant deliveries for quality and quantity compliance
- Monitoring and recording attendance and timekeeping of subcontractors and operatives
- Developing and implementing RAMS, Inspection Test Plans, and ensuring client updates
- Liaising with clients, reporting progress, quality, environmental, and health and safety matters, and communicating with professional staff
- Attending internal and site meetings, maintaining a professional demeanor
- Reading and working from drawings, conveying information to others, and understanding programs
- Calling off materials, ordering sundry items, and maintaining running totals records
- Supervising subcontract trades and general labor to ensure quality, health and safety, and compliance
- Setting up and participating in subcontractor meetings
- Conducting formal safety inspections to ensure high construction and site safety standards
- Preparing site reports, inspections, and test plans, ensuring updates
- Maintaining quality control procedures
- Utilizing and maintaining company systems, procedures, forms, and templates, and policies
- Motivating yourself and your workforce, problem-solving, and assisting with audits
- Informing the line manager and commercial team of changes, delays, or requests for additional works or variances
- Completing site health and safety, quality, and environmental inspections, and job-related paperwork
- SMSTS certification
- CSCS Managers card
- First aid training
- Full UK Driving license and own transport
