Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Officer to join our team at Ashford and St. Peters Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the provision of a high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective procurement function that meets the requirements of the Trust's overall strategic direction and corporate objectives.

Main Responsibilities
  • Receive deliveries from suppliers, check against purchase order details, sign for, and receipt goods on the system.
  • Ensure non-stock deliveries are placed in a designated area ready for collection by the Logistics Representative for delivery to the user department.
  • Assist with keeping the Receipts and Despatch areas tidy and organized.
  • Liaise with delivery drivers regarding any queries raised at the time of delivery.
  • Redirect delivery drivers to other delivery areas within the Trust.
  • Liaise with medical/administration staff who have any queries regarding their delivery.
  • Assist with any telephone queries regarding deliveries.
  • Direct patients to the correct appointment area.
  • Deputise in the absence of the R&D Supervisor.
