Job Title: Strategic Bid Manager

Unipart Rail is a leading company in the rail industry, with a long heritage based on decades of experience. We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Strategic Bid Manager to work at our Doncaster site.

Main Purpose of the Role

To lead and oversee the end-to-end bid process, acting as a key touch point for Unipart Rail bids for all stakeholders. To deliver strategic bids to the customer base, through the management and development of high quality and compelling proposals to meet business targets for growth and profitability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management of one or more direct reports.
  • Excellent customer and market knowledge to lead, own and support the development of proposals.
  • Excellent bid writing skills and a good basic knowledge of commercial terms and conditions.
  • Collaborative approach to stakeholder management.
  • Ability to work on the basis of self-initiative and use analytical skills and judgement to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
Requirements
  • Mathematics and English to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Formal Professional Qualification such as APMP, Project Management qualification.
  • Experience of managing bids/proposals and projects and delivering to exacting requirements and deadlines.
  • Experience of responding successfully to formal tender exercises.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
