Job Title: Strategic Bid Manager

Unipart Rail is seeking an experienced Strategic Bid Manager to lead and oversee the end-to-end bid process, acting as a key touch point for Unipart Rail bids for all stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the bid process, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality proposals.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including sales, product management, and account teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective bid development and delivery.
  • Manage and develop high-quality proposals that meet business targets for growth and profitability.
  • Coach and mentor Business Development/Sales/Account/Product Management teams in the effective use of the bid process.
Requirements:
  • Experience in managing bids/proposals and projects, delivering to exacting requirements and deadlines.
  • Excellent bid writing skills and knowledge of general bidding processes and procedures.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on the basis of self-initiative, with a high degree of analytical skills and judgement.
  • Mathematics and English to GCSE standard or equivalent, and a formal professional qualification such as APMP or Project Management.
