Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage a team of professionals responsible for repairs and maintenance services.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of repairs and maintenance services.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that repairs and maintenance services meet statutory and regulatory obligations.
- Manage budgets and resources to ensure that repairs and maintenance services are delivered within budget.
- Develop and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers to ensure that repairs and maintenance services are delivered to a high standard.
- Monitor and report on the performance of repairs and maintenance services to ensure that they meet organizational standards.
- Relevant qualification in building construction, surveying, or management.
- Extensive experience of leading a customer-focussed function to deliver excellent services.
- Comprehensive experience of successfully managing in-house repair teams and partnerships with sub-contractors.
- Strong track record of managing people and driving improvements in teams to achieve targets in the delivery of excellent service.
- Substantial knowledge of working within the construction/building/maintenance sector, with an understanding of asset management.
- Experience of procurement processes, including tender design, evaluation, and third-party contractor monitoring and management.
- Ability to influence and negotiate with customers, stakeholders, and other partners.
