About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to join our team at Moat Park Retirement Village. As a key member of our outdoor spaces team, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents by creating and maintaining beautiful outdoor spaces.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the planting and maintenance of flowers, plants, and trees to create vibrant and welcoming gardens.
- Perform regular watering, pruning, and weeding to ensure our gardens and green spaces are tidy and well-maintained.
- Maintain lawns, hedges, and other green areas to create a visually appealing and safe environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment and tools to ensure efficient and effective gardening practices.
- Assist in the implementation of landscaping projects to enhance the overall aesthetic of our outdoor spaces.
- Collaborate with the team to ensure our gardens meet the expectations and preferences of our residents.
- Follow health and safety guidelines to create a safe environment for all.
Requirements
- Previous experience in gardening or landscaping is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for working with plants and creating beautiful outdoor spaces.
- Experience in using gardening machinery.
- Basic knowledge of gardening techniques and plant care.
- Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions.
- Physical stamina to perform gardening tasks, including lifting and operating equipment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to garden maintenance.
